Yes, but I've have only libxml 1.8.x, and 2.0.0 is recent, so I don't
have it with my distrib.  Well, ... I guess I'll have to install it,
is there an RPM somewhere?

By the way the check (done in configure.in) is saying that GNUMERIC is
asking for 2.0.0... :-)
