Why do you think that :) There are good synthesis tools for linux. At
least Synopsys DC and Synplify are available for linux platform.

I have heard about one MP simulator but it was very difficult to use and
didn't even have capability to dump wave files out. It just simulated the
file could say in the end OK/Fail :) That was long time ago, I think the
company was bought out or is out of business.
