It seems that i486/50 scaled to 233MHz would have
0.5 integer performance of AMD K6 233 MHz.
Or 0.59 of PII, 0.5 of Athlon, 0.7 of P4,
but only 0.44 of AthlonXP.
0.34 for Itanium and 0.33 for Alpha 21264.
Let's invert that and look for ILP of
different architectures:
P4          1.4
USparc3     1.9
AthlonXP    2.3
Itanium     2.9
Alpha       3.0
PPC G3      3.0
R10000      3.0
PA-Risc     3.4 (!)

Interesting. HP wants to replace their PA which
seems to be fastest integer MIPS/MHz by Itanium
which is not as good but is much more complex and
power hungry. Weird business.
