You may wish to contact Venkatesan Guruswami (258-6097; NE43-370;
venkat@theory.lcs.mit.edu) to discuss your simulation ideas.  Venkat
is a graduate student in the LCS Theory Group working with Madhu
Sudan.  He is just about to take his Area Exam on ``rapidly mixing
Markov chains'' and has written an excellent survey paper on this
topic.  The problems studied there have a close relationship to the
formalization you made of the freehaven system, I believe.
