It looks like I'm going to be slammed with the "Day Job SummerOfCode"(tm)
this year so I might have to sit out GSoC 2008 with gtkwave. Last year's
SoC literally added a path for years of functional improvements so I'm not
too concerned about work possibly causing me to miss out on a nice
t-shirt. =) I have my hands full with user suggestions and patches
lately, anyway, so it's not like the viewer is stagnating. Looking at the
changelogs, a lot has been done in the past calendar year and I'm feeling
quite good about the progress.
Note that if some student proposes a project that is non-invasive (e.g.,
add active annotation for vhdl), I'll be all ears, however I won't have
the time to mentor as closely as I did for last year's
restructure/rewrite, but for something non-invasive it wouldn't be as
necessary either.
However the chips fall, I'm looking forward to seeing GSoC 2008 help gEDA
move ahead.
