About ports on Windows, I would add a link to the following wiki page,  
which I found very useful when I first evaluated gEDA. What about  
adding this at the end of the Platforms/Windows paragraph:

[...] Knowledgeable individuals have been able to build, install, and  
run many of the gEDA applications on Windows systems, noticeably under  
the [[:wikt:Cygwin|Cygwin]] environment <ref>{{cite web | url = http://www.geda.seul.org/wiki/geda:cygwin

However, binary executables for most of the gEDA Suite are not

Just wanted to give people on this list a chance to express opinions  
before posting it on Wikipedia.

What about adding similar references for other platforms?
