I *do* appreciate your interest and desire to contribute! Thank you
for working with us!
However, my major goal of the Wikipedia cleanup was to de-emphasize the
Windows platform. Previously, somebody had created an entire
"Windows" section containing an extended discussion about gEDA,
windows support, and the project's feelings about Windows. Since
Windows support is *not* a project goal (at least as of now), talking
at great length about Windows is pointless, and might even be bad
publicity.
Therefore, the edits I made had the explicit goal of re-balancing
the exposition about supported platforms, and I tried to cut the text
discussing Windows down to a bare minimum. The less said, the
better. Accordingly, although your stuff about running on Cygwin is
helpful, I want to leave it out of the Wikipedia article.
Also, the Wikipedia article should contain mostly meta-information about
gEDA of interest to a casual browser. Specific support information
about how to install using Cygwin is better put into the gEDA
Project's wiki, which is the right place to put project documentation.
I went ahead and modified our wiki article to include your ideas:

Thank you! Maybe it's not what you wanted to hear, but now you have
my opinion.... ;-)

Belongs in the project documentation, not on Wikipedia.
Just my $0.02.
Cheers,
Stuart
