Sure you do - but it's how Synopsys solved the problem -
so everyone gets to live with it from now till ...

All OVI did was twiddle the words a little to get
the same effect and not violate copyright or trademark
issues.  

It's how all of us were taught to control the
synthesis tool. So there ya go.

True. I have looked at the OVI synthesis working group product and there
are directive there. They affect synthesis, not simulation.

Unfortunately, OVI too has done the very nasty deed of putting pragmas
in comments. Ooooohhhhhh, I *hate* that.
