You have gdk-pixbuf as included in GTK+ 2.x. I believe that in GTK+
1.2, gtk-pixbuf was a separate package. (And the gcc line above
indicates that only the GTK+ 1.2 directories are being searched.)

If, as Stuart suggested, you build gerbv 1.0, it will probably
autodetect GTK+2.x and use that.
