This should not be an issue -- cran and belegost both have very high-speed
links. Feel free to upload things from them.

Do all packages uploaded to rh-contrib get announced to redhat-announce?
(That is, if the person who uploads them bothers to send mail as well.)
Seems that making it clear they came from the independence project would
be good for everybody, in terms of where to direct bug reports and also
for people looking for similar packages.

Similarly, uploading the rpms to rpmfind (rpmfind.net/linux/rpmfind) might
be a good plan, so more people can get them when they do searches there.

Another thought is to contact the authors of the packages you've been
packaging, and try to distribute the load a little bit. In theory, each
author can maintain a good rpm for his package, or a user of the program
can build one. This should extend to .deb's as well, ideally.
