Is there a Sendmail expert listening?

Tha masqueerading solution I proposed yesterday still falls short due
to people not listed on the /etc/genericstable still having their mail
sent unmasqueraded (thus mail appears coming from an inexistent site)
plus the fact it does not handle the case of users in other boxes
(family LANs). After trying Linuxconf sendmail is still too difficult
to configure so I want to make a "configurator for basic cases" (ie
people connecting to an ISP) who would just replace values in an m4
files and then run m4 and sendamil for building the files.

Does anyone known enough of sendmail to help?
