The problem may be in this section of your XF86Config-4:

Section "DRI"
        Mode 0666
EndSection

This sets the permissions on the dri device, which must be 0666 in order
for everyone to be able to use it.

If you change this you may have to remove /dev/dri/card0 in order for
the change to take effect next time you start X.
