Hey, all! I'm dropping this a quick message to the list to let everybody know how the work 0.0.4 stands. The code in CVS has finally broken backward compatibility with 0.0.3. This was necessary to accommodate our plan to bump our packet key size up to 2048 bits. I want to get 0.0.4 finished by May 10, when I leave for the Oakland converence. To do that, I've got to add the following stuff: - Automatic key generation and rotation. - Automatic publication of server descriptors to directories. - Automated directories with rudimentary pinging. - Reload configuration on kill -HUP. - Lots of unit tests and documentation. - Numerous bugfixes. NOT included will be: - Real pinging - Multiple directories - Encrypted keys - Anything else in the TODO not marked for 0.0.4 So that's what I'm working on now -- after I get the unit tests finished for the stuff I did this week. Also, I'll be trying to get the spec into a more readable organization. Peace, -- Nick
