Nick, Just found the time to read through your draft, and I've got one question regarding it. When Minion is launched, it will be difficult to estimate the rate at which nodes/pingers/directory servers will join. Based on this, is it not possible that a resourceful attacker could introduce services which would enable him to control the quorum? In effect he could own 51% of the directories and then bias them towards his own Minion nodes. Based on the voting system, his directories would be fully trusted no matter what information they supplied. Within 3 months of launching, would 100 nodes appear more or less suspicious than 50? Without a clear answer to this, is >50% an acceptable figure to imply trust? Regards Steve
