Ordinarily Tor will run at about 5% CPU usage; but then, for no apparent
reason, it will jump up to 50% usage and make the processor run at 50-60
degrees C. Once it jumps up, it stays there until I exit Tor, even if
there's no traffic and I don't touch the mouse or keyboard.

I'm running Windows XP with a 2GHz core 2 CPU, and Tor browser bundle
2.2.35-8. I've been having the same problem with older Tor versions as
well. I'm not running a relay.
