Do the instructions there work for Debian relays? Don't they have cookie
auth set up already, but they put the cookie into a place that you, the
 nyx user, can't reach?

Yeah, I definitely don't want to try to teach users to poorly reconstruct
part of the debian config just so they can run nyx as a different user. I
am thinking of the people who are already on debian, who have been
thinking that recommended advice is for them to sudo to debian-tor and run
 nyx there.
