FWIW, we decided that the way forward with this task is to devise a robust
proof of the suggested protocol. Dan and Tanja suggested to prove the
protocol under the generic-hash generic-group model.
We also decided that if we manage to prove the variant where the base
point is not blinded, we should proceed with that. OTOH if we don't manage
to prove that scheme, we should try to prove the variant where the base
point is blinded (like Robert has been suggesting).
