 I've taken a screenshot and took some measurements with gimp.
 1615x937 is the actual and precise window size for browser content.
 (However this *includes* the scroll bar at its right edge.) There doesn't
 seem to be any "obfuscation" or modification of the browser window size.

 I'd also like to add that I'm using a dual screen setup on an nVidia
 display: nvidia proprietary drivers, twinview, xinerama extensions. I
 probably should have mentioned that earlier, but it didn't occur to me
 since it works so well out of the box without any major config except
 telling the X server the physical arrangement of the displays (which is
 left, which is right).
