 Well behave pop3 client should to wait response of server, and tor as ssl
 server nothing response. Then it wasn't well behaved code but evil that
 attacking tor and will find new port and will attack again (just thoughts,
 no facts).
 Or no need to send anything actually. Does tor listens localhost for 9001?
 Can you telnet to localhost 9001, does it changes cpu usage by tor?
