 If it's okay as a start, I'll do it for all our graphs for now.

 I agree it's not perfect. I looked at ggplot2 some more, but it looks like
 it's not straightforward to add either a logo or some text to the plot
 margin. I'll have a look at the ggplot2 book and maybe ask on the R-help
 mailing list. It might be necessary to implement such a feature in ggplot2
 first.
