Comment:

 I followed the steps (dragging "search query" into the browser and
 dropping it on the page) both in a Tor Browser 7.5a1 and a Tor Browser
 6.5.2 and a default Firefox on 64bit Linux machines the result is the same
 as yours (the only exception is the missing spinning wheel in Tor Browser
 6.5.2). So, this does not seem to be a bug to me and definitely not a
 regression.
