 Ah, that would explain it, seeing as I have needed to build a previous
 release in the same repository.

 I'll make the appropriate change to gitignore. However, is
 checkShellScripts.sh the ideal place to remove these temporary files or
 should we stick them in the `make clean` target? I'm not sure of the best
 way to handle this.
