 It's having some weird and unpredictable conflict with Tab Mix Plus. I say
 this because it must depend on some setting within Tab Mix Plus in that
 installing it on a new profile didn't immediately cause the problem, but
 disabling Tab Mix Plus in my usual profile SOMETIMES fixed the problem,
 but it wasn't consistent either. However, nothing else affected it. I'll
 file a bug at Tab Mix Plus as well.
