New description:

 Regardless of how many times I turn of Java in preferences, in either TOR
 or non-TOR state, enabling Tor state by pressing the button enables Java
 (100% consistency).  Since I cannot think of any instance whatsoever that
 I would wish for Java to be enabled while using Tor, this is especially
 frustrating.  Related issues have been closed as "not a bug", but I
 respectfully disagree : The TorButton should not enable Java if I have
 specified that I do not want Java enabled.

 I am using Torbutton 1.2.0 (fully updated as of today), Firefox 3.0.1
 (fully updated as of today), and Windows Vista Premium on an HP DV8000US
 laptop.
