 Well, yeah.  `eventfd` is available from 2.6.22, `eventfd2` from 2.6.27,
 and you are using a system running 2.6.18, so I think it's safe to assume
 that your glibc is equally prehistoric as well.

 When I wrote the code I assumed that no one would still be running glibc <
 2.9 (2008-11-13).  If dgoulet cares, he can add the appropriate autoconf
 stuff and ifdefs, it'll be straight forward.  Personally I don't have the
 time (or motivation for that matter) to write code for such systems.
