 To continue what I wrote in comment:8: Fenix 5.0 is out:

 5.0 release
  - branching off 2 days before release
 (`2c18c255da0bdcc48ec7deda3ce64b97797cce75` merge base with `master`), no
 beta releases before that and `android-components` got pinned to a stable
 version (39.0.0) for first beta, which got out two days before 5.0.

 Noteworthy as well that the release cycle is not aligned to the one for
 GeckoView.
