 Oh, okay.  I tried out the update build script locally and it didn't break
 in obvious ways.  But I see your points there.

 hiro, can you take a look at the comment above and see if you can change
 the Jenkins scripts accordingly to still work after reverting that commit?
 I'll hold back reverting until we're sure how to move forward.  Thanks!
