 I'm not sure. I guess in principle it's more performant to have the image
 already at the scale you need. Although it seems unlikely it's a
 bottleneck.

 Nothing, except I couldn't find an SVG version of the green globe icon. If
 anyone has a copy of it I will be glad to make a new patch using the SVG
 instead.
