If there is a reason to replace Truecrypt what would it be?

Check out FreeOTFE and FreeOTFE Explorer. They are packed as PortableApps.com as well and offer access to LUKS containers. The interface is quite ugly and dated compared with TrueCrypt, but they also lack that Plausible deniability. Which can be tricky in countries like the UK.

Apart from Plausible deniability I can't see a reason to replace TrueCrypt. And if the license is at issue, there is alternative code for Linux.
