By default, it's in /private/var/run/Tor.pid.

Interesting, change the case of the PIDFile torrc to Pidfile and see if
that works.  

Line 161 of config.c looks for:
VAR("PidFile",             STRING,   PidFile,              NULL),

not PIDFile.  This could be a documentation bug.
