If by "disjoint" you mean irrelevant, I disagree - having tor does not guarantee you privacy - this hard fact is communicated to everyone who bothers reading the first line of output to the console when tor starts - tor does NOT guarantee you anonymity, particularly if you can't help it yourself.With Tor your privacy is disjoint from which search engine you use.
