Re: Mozilla Thunderbird leaking ?

TB 1.0.5 seems to exhibit this behavior for me as well. I got everything pumped through TCP/9050, though, which effectively prevents any kind of weird web bugs, remote  crap from loading (theoretically). Long story short, if it's not going through Tor via SOCKS like normal, it's not going to work :) What TB version is being used?

I cannot confirm this, nothing is in cleartext!
see attached screenshot - nothing special just the standard settings!

Note that support for sending DNS lookups over SOCKS5 was only added
in Firefox Deer Park alpha 1. I've no idea which versions of
Thunderbird include it - you may need to get the latest alpha/beta
and/or poke about:config in the same way as Firefox.

For firefox instructions (which might carry over in recent versions of
Thunderbird) see

Thanks for this hint!
I use this: version (20050429) of thunderbird.
And from my point of view it is working.
Please mail me if you find problems with this version.
