Hmm,  layer P should be a portable API.   By that I think should be able to use Layer P to make applicationswhich can work
under Linux Console, X, Win32 etc.  The GGI and OpenGL _are_  portable in that sense
(yep, they even got GGI going on an NT box, sort of).  IMHO adding _another_ layer in layer P would just
be software silt.
