Re: [pygame] pygsear, pygame framework & examples
http://savannah.nongnu.org/files/?group=pygsear
lee, this is very impressive! i finally had some time to check pygsear out
and realize its much cooler than i expected. need a little more time to dig
into it.
Thanks. I am having a blast playing with all of this.
sometime in the future, i believe this is more of the direction pygame
needs to go. i've even been not-so-seriously thinking about classes like
this.
Glad to hear that. I would like to see a more high-level api
available in the pygame distribution. Hopefully a bunch of
people will work with this & we can decide what exactly we need.
i have two recomendations. first, all the simple examples run so quickly
they are over in the blink of an eye. is there a way to limit the max
framerate for the simple examples, like game00.py ?
This fix is in cvs now, but I am working on a better fix. I am
making all of the Path objects framerate independent. (Basically,
you will give a parameter for how long the path should take)
I hope to get this finished this weekend.
also, some very simple docs would be most excellent. even a single page
'introduction' would be a big help to get the 'big picture'.
Good idea. It will all be in later chapters of the book, but I
can get a one-pager out pretty quickly.
oh, and i am unable to pronounce the project name, what is it from?
i'll get the projects page updated soon.
Like a few others said: it is like "pig's ear." That was just my
way of saying: it's not pretty now, but maybe with a bit of work
we can make something real nice.
Thank you.
