Shiksha India is a non-profit initiative by Confederation of Indian
Industry (www.cii.in) managed by a registered trust. Shiskha India is
working towards the cause of enabling and empowering schools and
teachers with various open source tools and softwares to enhance and
improve their teaching-learning process. Shiksha has a network of over
2000 schools spread across India and conducts regular workshops to
train the teachers in the use of various open source tools for their
pedagogy and/or productivity based needs. Shiskha has trained over
1000 school teachers in the past six months on various open source
tools and helped them harness technology appropriately. Shiskha India
has also developed a free sharing portal for teachers and students,
