Subject: RE: [school-discuss] Learning Objects
Content-Type: multipart/alternative;

  Alberta is seen as the leader in this area in Canada. I just finished my
term with the www.learnalberta.ca project. The goal of this project is to
develop "learning objects" for the students and teachers in Alberta. You may
want to keep an eye on the project web site which will evolve into a portal
over the next year. This is the second year of the project and some
projects will be completed and post this coming year. The down side of this
not being open source is that not all projects will be visible to those
outside the province. For example the National Geographic project is
restricted to Alberta only.

The first "digital resource" released was the Grade 6 Math project. It has
received rave reviews from teachers, students and parents.
