Re: [school-discuss] Beowulf Cluster on Jeopardy?

Piping in after a lond sideline run.  the real issues are thee.  Data base content and indexing, hardware to maximize data flow, and algorithms and programming to simulate critical thinking.

That was the achievement of Watson.  The ability to simulate creative thinking.

Are there any AI folks someone is in contact with?

. . . how long will it take the FLOSS community to
construct a Beowulf cluster . . .

Consider the benefits to such a project:

1. It would be an extremely educational experience
for the students who work on it.

2. The publicity would be fantastic, win or lose.

3. Any prize money won could go towards helping
out various FLOSS-related activities.

I'd like to see people's thoughts on this.
