Re: [school-discuss] Student Information Systems

Sounds good, Matt. Naturally integration with other systems is a
requirement, so SIF support will be needed.

Seeing your project's name -- OpenZIS -- brings to mind that we should name
this specification project. It's good to establish an identity so we can
get a domain name secured and have a convenient tag for discussion of the
project.

Maybe it could be called "OpenSIS", if that's not taken already. There's a
project by that name on sourceforge but it appears to be defunct. It might
be confusing to have both OpenZIS and OpenSIS. Or maybe that's a nice
pairing.

Another possibility would be OpenSchool...? Chancery has the name "Open
Admin" trademarked, (although I guess they haven't sent their lawyers after
Les yet. ;-) Don't think they have a valid trademark on "OpenSchool",
though.

Any suggestions?
