I've used Scribus.  It worked for a very basic task -- I was happy --
but it needs a lot of polish.  That was about a year ago, I think.

Yes, Pagemaker "very nearly works", according to 
http://crossover.codeweavers.com/pipermail/office-support/2002-May/002818.html
Printing was the big problem.   But that was six months ago,
maybe things have improved.  (I know Wine runs Word 97 very well, at
least
if you use the Codeweavers Crossover version of wine.  Codeweavers have
been
very good at pushing their improvements back to regular Wine, so maybe
plain old wine runs it well now, too.)
