I have a major US University wanting to boot out the dominate Office product and go 100% with Open Office.org

Can anyone give me a reference so I can get this completed? They want to know if anyone else has had success doing this. The Universty has approximately 20,000 students.

Here is from SUN, including Ohio State University:

A lot of info appeared in the OpenOffice.org newsletter this month, including:

Skipton Girls High School is the only specialist engineering
school for girls in the UK. The school is sponsored by Rolls
Royce and is currently updating its IT infrastructure making
OpenOffice.org a key application

St Monica's Language College in Bury, UK are installing
English, German, Italian and Spanish localisations of
OpenOffice.org.

As well as massive EDU installations in Colombia and Spain:

Colombia National University at it's four campuses in the
cities of Bogota, Medellin, Manizalez, and Palmira began in
June-2003 a program of massive use of OpenOffice.org en close
to 1,500 stations.

Juan Rey Saura said, "If it counts, Sun Microsystems, Inc will
distribute StarOffice to more than 22,000 schools in Spain."

etc, etc.

I read the latest OpenOffice.prg newsletter in this weeks Linux Weekly News weekly addition: http://lwn.net

Hope that is helpful,
