OK, here's the original sentence that needs revision:

I run Linux because I can't in good conscience support Microsoft 
in any way, and because I don't care for Apple's extremely 
proprietary hardware and software.

Here's my proposed revision:

I run Linux because, of all the operating system choices available, it
best fills my needs and desires.
