I don't think their survival frame would take 2000km/h and 60km altitude in 
its stride.

It seems that the news load on this one has broken several of the services, 
such as Voice of America.

The consequences will be drastic, one way or the other. Either the Luddites 
will ground everything, or NASA will be told to try a different payload 
delivery vehicle (e.g. http://www.highliftsystems.com/ ). Maybe both.
