That's been my idea when starting the OSES project, which is probably best 
described as the platform-independent sibling of SEUL-EDU. See www.oses.org 
for initial details.

Still, I'm glad that Linux advocates are pushing Linux apps in this area, 
because if there is one lesson learned from the Microsoft disaster, it is that 
people go where the apps are.
