Description: Kalzium is an application which will show you some information about the periodic system of the elements. Therefore you could use it as an information databank. But furthermore it provides two different kinds of quiz which will test your knowlegde about chemistry in general and the elements.

Name: KLearnSpelling

Description: This program aims to help pupils from all around the world to learn their own spelling words.

This program has 2 goals:

1. to allow the parent or the teacher to type in the list of words
Note: the words are stored in text files in the home directory by default.

2. to help the pupil learn the words and have a test as he will have at school.

Description: KMessedWords is a simple mind-training game, in which you have to "figure out" the word that has been given in the program. I have "labeled" this program for children over 10 years, as the game is solvable harder as it looks.

Name: KmPlot

Description: KmPlot is a mathematical function plotter for the KDE-Desktop.

It has built in a powerfull parser. You can plot different functions simultaneously and combine their function terms to build new functions. kmplot supports functions with parameters and functions in polar coordinates. Several grid modes are possible. Plots may be printed with high precision in correct scale.

Name: KTimes

Description: KTimes aims to help a child aged 7 to 13 to learn his multiplication tables.

There are 4 levels in KTimes:
Easy: tables 1 to 4
Medium: tables 5 to 8
Hard: tables 9 to 12
Test mode: all tables
You change the level with the Level menu in the menubar.

Via the Show menu in the menubar, you can display the multiplication tables. They are grouped by 4 tables in a screen.

Test mode is a timed test. Random multiplications are asked and the pupil should answer the quickest he can. If he has 10 answers right and if he is within the 10 best scores, then he''ll be in the Hall of Fame.

Name: KVerbos

Description: Kverbos is an application specially designed to study Spanish verb forms.

The program suggests a verb and a tense and the user enters the different forms. The program corrects the user input and gives a feedback.
The user can edit the list of the verbs that can be studied. The program can built regular verb forms by itself. Irregular verb forms have to entered by the user.
