In the group  SLEC ("Libre" Software and Education  in Colombia), we have
been doing something similar.  Our current "database" includes schools
and universities of Colombia, it is at:
http://www.geocities.com/sl_edu_colombia/estadisticas.html

As you will see, everything is  in spanish.  Now we are in the process
of mantaining the information in a real database.

I would like  to join efforts with you, since SLEC  and your site have
similar purposes.  (However my French is not very good).

Regarding LibresoftwareDay my family and I organized one GNU/Linux day
in a colombian School (Gimnasio Fidel Cano where all the software used
is  free), that  GNU/Linux  day was  on  Agust 28th,  just 5  families
brought  their computers  to  install on  them  GNU/Linux, 3  teachers
already installed in their  computers GNU/Linux.  The person in charge
of this experience was my brother Igor Támara (ikks@bigfoot.com).

I  would learn  from similar  experiences, and  probably to  share the
experience that we have gained.
