Cool, that would've been the ARPAnet...  The DoD made it a high priority
to hook up colleges and universities ASAP, after all, the ARPAnet was
meant to be a network for recovering from a nuclear war.

On C++ programming or C?  For C++, it's tough to beat Bjarne Stroustrup's
"The C++ Language"(BTW, Bjarne Stroustrup wrote C++)
