 descriptor, and even that keeps my machine busy for a few hours for a year
 of data, let alone the time I'd have to spend on rewriting the analysis
 code.

 Weighting by uptime seconds seems like a weird approach. I have no idea
 what that ought to tell us.

 How much work is it to get to an answer to the question I ask above?
