 I pushed another branch into my repo bug_9268_wip containing the best I
 can currently come up with. It turns out that availHeight and availWidth
 are the same on some OS/window manager configurations (see my comment in
 torbutton.js for more details). So, this approach is neither working for
 the cypherpunk patch nor for mine. Then: with the cypherpunk patch while
 having a different DPI, the resolution is not properly rounded (the width
 on my Win 7 box is always of at least one pixel). Alas, my patch is doing
 worse :(. To sum up: There is currently neither a general solution for
 problems with the taskbar nor one with non-default DPI settings we could
 deploy.
