 I'm running Slackware 13.37 x86 and I only use OpenBox for my desktop and
 I've noticed with the last two versions of the Tor browser bundle, that
 once Vidalia says you're connected it takes on average 15-20 seconds
 before the browser opens.

 I hope this can be figured, because the browser should open in at least
 3-5 seconds not 20...
