 It's kind of a lot of implementation complexity and I'd be satisfied with
 just "we're really confident the expected number of attempts for the
 existing algorithm is at worst O(log(N))", but just pointing out that it
 can be done in deterministic O(log(N)) with only one random number per
 address selection and without strong assumptions about the properties of
 the PRNG.
